Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow technique in which fine, hair-like strokes are made with a hand tool and filled with pigment to create fuller, natural-looking brows. At VK Allure Dermaclinic in Chennai, it is done by trained SPMU artists under clinic hygiene standards. It is not surgery, and a touch-up is usually needed.
Avoid during pregnancy, with skin infection or eczema on the brows, keloid tendency or recent isotretinoin use, and check first if you take blood thinners.

A numbing cream is applied before the procedure, so most clients experience minimal discomfort.
Results typically last 1–2 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare.
You may experience slight redness or mild scabbing for a few days, but normal activities can usually be resumed quickly.
During healing, some pigment naturally fades unevenly, and a few strokes may look lighter. A touch-up, usually four to eight weeks after the first session, fills these areas and fine-tunes the shape or shade. Later, colour refresh sessions every year or so help keep brows looking crisp as pigment fades.
Microblading strokes can blur or fade faster on very oily skin or large pores, so the hair-stroke look may not stay as sharp. For oily skin, micro shading or a combination of strokes and shading is often a better choice. The artist checks your skin type before suggesting the right technique.
Avoid threading, waxing or tinting brows for about a week before. Skip alcohol, caffeine and blood-thinning painkillers the day before, unless prescribed. Avoid retinoids or peels near the brows for a few weeks. Tell the clinic about medicines, skin conditions, pregnancy or any history of keloids.
Microblading creates fine, individual hair-like strokes for a natural, feathered look. Micro shading uses tiny dots of pigment to build a soft, powdered or makeup-like finish.
